hi you all. im new in this forums. i just wanted to ask what to buy for a budget video card. here are the choices.
$110 CAD-SAPPHIRE RADEON 9000 pro-i like this because i think this is better than the 9200.
$113 CAD-SAPPHIRE RADEON 9100-some people say it is better than the Geforce FX5200.
$136 CAD-MSI Geforce FX5200-i like this because of the good bundle and its directx9 capability.
$73 CAD-MSI Geforce 4 MX440-i have seen a review wherein the msi mx440 beat the msi fx5200 in benchmarks.

Please help me. thanks.

welcome to the forums🙂
but the best video card for you situation is not on the list

get a geforce4 TI4200 for $100

Welcome to the forums 🙂

This is the best of what you've listed:
$113 CAD-SAPPHIRE RADEON 9100-some people say it is better than the Geforce FX5200.

As people have pointed out in other threads, the dx9 features of the fx5200 are useless because it runs too slow if you turn them on. The gf4 mx is much slower than the ATI so run away from it.

If you can find a used geforce3 card for less than $113 CAD, the ti200 is about as fast as the ATI and the ti500 is faster. a gf4 ti4200 is much faster, but so is the price.
