Video Card upgrade question

I'm currently running two EVGA GTX 260's w/ 216 cores, superclocked and running SLi. Looking at the newer cards out there since I don't follow the latest and greatest all the time. Question is should I be looking at upgrading to a newer VC? I don't need SLi if a single card will be better than what I have now. Looking in the $200-$250 range. I'm a casual gamer with CoD, Chrysis, etc.. Any opinions?

There isn't much of an upgrade, in terms of performance, from what you currently have.

In that price range you are mainly looking at a "features" upgrade. You will gain DX11 support with newer cards, and you can lower power consumption and heat with a newer card (or cards). And in some cases you could see a performance boost, but overall it would be marginal. Since you claim to be casual, from a strictly performance aspect I don't see anything being worthwhile. If you're looking to lower power consumption, lower heat, and run DX11, then you do have options: GTX 460 (overclocked variants), HD 6870, GTX 560 Ti, HD 5870, HD 6950. You can't really go wrong with any of these cards, so long as you don't expect a (decent) performance boost.
