Video card upgrade, but no longer than Geforce 260 216?

I want to upgrade my video card for Christmas, but the catch is I am using a dell case so space is tight.

I was able to get my current 260 216 in with the judicious use of a hammer, but don't think I could get any larger of a video card in.

Which is smaller length wise, the Radeon HD 6950 or the Geforce 560 Ti ? Or does it even matter? Will either of these cards fit ?

I understand that performance wise they are about the same, but the main games I play are Skyrim, Shogun 2, and Civ 5 in case either of them have the edge.

Current CPU is i5-2500, power supply is not a concern.

560 is shorter than 6950 - at least when comparing reference boards

You might be able to find a shorter 6950, but more than likely the 560Ti will be shorter.

Any chance you can measure your current card?

I own a zotac 560 ti and it's pretty short it will definitely fit in your case as you have mentioned gtx 260 216 fits in!!
