Here's the specs to the computer.

Right now I have an Evga Geforce FX5500 agp in it.I mostly watch movies, videos, etc and don't do any gaming on it.Would upgrading the graphics card do me any good? Would upgrading it be a waste of money? Buddy of mine said that upgrading would make the videos, movies, etc look better.I already have 2gb of memory and 400w to power everything. If so,what do you recommend for an AGP card? Thanks

Are you unhappy with how it performs or looks? If not, I wouldn't spend any money on upgrading that machine.

No,it plays videos fine to me. My buddy just said that a better card would play the videos better. So he's wrong? I would rather spend the money on a new monitor.

While your friend might be technically correct (depends on a lot of factors), I agree with the other poster in that I don't think it is worth spending the money to upgrade that card. If they look fine to you currently, that's all that matters.

I'm still using Geforce 6300 or something in that family and was looking to upgrad to Radeon 4670. I have amd opteron with 380w(antec sonata). I'm thinking I would need more juice to run the Radeon. Is that right?

maybe a little bit more, but the 4670 isnt to high power usage either, with the 380w psu in the sonata you should be fine with a 4670
