I've been using a HD 5670 video card for a while now with one of my 3 monitors using a display port to VGA adapter but lately when I turn on my rig, I sometimes get a message about the display port being low on power and not turning on the display. Usually I just disconnect and reconnect the cable and it fixes itself but yesterday it didn't do that and I had to play around a bit with CCC to get it back on.

I've been thinking of getting a video card from the HD 6000 series and was looking for something that allows me to use Eyefinity WITHOUT any adapters. I am not a gamer but I do want something that offers more power for gaming than my current card. I was looking at this card but wanted to ask if there was a better/less expensive option:

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Looks good too even if its a bit more expensive. Trying to find something close to $100.

the same videocard posted in post #2

Scroll down and select the combo with Shogun 2 instead. Same price and Shogun 2 gets about $20 on ebay. Sell both games and with rebate it should be around $100 net

Actually after code and free shipping, it's cheaper than the 6770.

But if you want to keep it at $100, how about this 5770 for $101 AR/shipping: http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php...-2DVI-HDMI-DisplayPort-PCI-Express-Video-Card

I assume the dual DVI ports will solve your problem. It's basically the same GPU as the 6770 you were looking at, but with an older HDMI spec.

I looked at the 5770 to but would rather have the updated HDMI spec. The 6850 seems decidedly better in games than the 6770 so it does has more muscle and that's tempting me.
