Video Card Upgrade Advice Needed

Hi Everyone.

I have a Vaio that's less than 2 years old. It has a 295.4W PSU.

--------------------
+5V/28A, +12V/17A, +5VSB/1.8A, +3.3V/13A, -12V/0.2A, +12VSP/1.2A
+5V and +3.3V Total Output Power Can't Exceed 165W
+12V & -12VSP Total Output Power Can't Exceed 209W
Delta Electronics, INC
--------------------

Yeah, it's seriously under powered and I don't think that it can be easily upgraded.

I want to upgrade to a new AGP card that will extend the life of the system for a while longer. I'd like to start playing some FSP games and stuff like that... unsure of which yet.

So, what can I do? I'm also on a budget. My current card is a 9200 128MB. How does 9600XT fair? And newegg has a 9800PRO OPEN BOX for the same price. But are open box stuff good/safe?

Thanks.

Hey

What is your cpu power and ram?

Off the top of my head X800GTO AGP on Newegg seems like a good value at around $155-165. If that is a bit too much, I'd go for 6600GT AGP or 6800 non-ultra AGP.

But you guys gotta be joking right? Such higher end cards on this PSU?
