Video Card Upgrade Advice! HELP!

Hey Guys!

I'm in the Market for a new video card.

Desired Display resolution:

1680X1050@120hz If must know I prefer this resolution for competitive FPS

Games to be played:

1) BF3
2) Day Z
3) Guild Wars 2

Relevant Specs:

I5-2500K@4.2ghz stock

PSU: Antec BP 550 Watts.

Video Card XFX 5850 Stock.


I would like to ONLY upgrade my video card. Budget is $300

I also don't have a problem selling off my present video card as it carries a DOUBLE LIFE TIME Warranty from XFX. (If thats worth anything)🙄

Amazon has it for 338$ but you do not get Borderlands 2.
 
For a $300 budget, choices are going to be HD7870, GTX660Ti, and possibly an HD7950. Do you have a preference for AMD or Nvidia?

Couldn't find any benchmarks for ARMA II, and Guild Wars 2 isn't released until next week. You may want to wait to purchase until you can get some benchmarks for Guild Wars 2, although I'm not sure how graphically demanding that game is.

But if you do the NEwegg deal it comes with borderlands 2.. So you could sell it for 30$ which would make it 338$ with out fooling with the 20$ rebate.. and heck if the rebate pans out you would have got it for 318$...

This Gtx 670 uses a Gtx 680 Pcb so it is a Gtx 680 with less Cuda cores pretty much..

THANKS GUYS! I don't care if this upgrade is NVIDA or ATI i'm not a loyalist.

I'm having trouble getting any kind of ARMA II feedback in my research..
