A friend of mine got an IBM computer for Christmas. Everything has been running fine for him, and the troubles that he has had I've been able to help him out with.
Today he called me with a problem about his video card. Apparently, every time he boots up his computer, it changes the colour mode to 16 colours and the resolution to 640x480. If he changes it while in Windows, he'll restart and it'll be back to 16 colours at 640x480.
He's running an IBM computer (not sure of make and model) with a PIII 800MHz, 128MB RAM. The video card is an integrated Intel graphics adapter. Not the best in the world, I know.
Do you guys think this is a driver problem? If not, do you have any other ideas about what the problem is? Thanks in advance for all your help.
