What is a normal temp for a video card to run. I play CS Source a bit and recently I have noticed a severe drop in fps. And the Catalyst control center says in game my card is running anyqhere from 60-65 degrees. Is there a problem with my cooler? I am using the masscool K1.

65C is well within the thermal tolerance of this card. Stock they idle at around there, and hit upwards of 90C before the fan kicks in fully.

That said, mine started to artifact after about 11 months of use at those temperatures. The early death was only to be expected -- after hearing the temps these ran at I got a card with a 2 year warranty.

So your frame rate drop is not the heat of the card. I'm guessing your power supply may be aging less than gracefully, or you've picked up a malware infestation.

Actually, two weeks ago my power supply was letting out a faint burning smell. it is completely gone now but that kinda worried me. Should I look into RMA'ing the power supply?

Definitly RMA the power supply. A bad power supply can do all sorts of things to your pc, starting with the HDD's. I had one go nuclear one me and it destroyed all the compnents excepet for the RAM.
