Purchased a 6800 GS
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130271
Installed in a MSI K8N Neo4 SLI board w/ 3200+ Athlon and 430 watt enermax PS. Using Everest Home the temps level off after boot as follows:
84/82/111/90 for MoBO/CPU/GPU/GPU ambient
After begining and running through the load screens of AOE III the temps rise to:
84/88/126/95
After running AOE III for an hour or so it is:
95/97/142/113

Are these temperature normal? I have a similar system (same board type Athy 3000+, XFX 7800 GT OC'd in the box, and NeoPower 550 PS) that runs at the following after some playing time:
93/99/115/ no ambient GPU sensor ... so I am a little concerned at the temps. The case has a number of fans but the temps are similar even if the doors are left open.

Are those C or F?

PC component temperatures are often discussed in C and you will get more input from people if you adapt to C.

They are obviously °F and the temps are fine for nVidia.

Agreed on the °C convention, I hate using °F for anything except the outside temp, hehehehe.

BadThad & Navid,
Good point on Celsius ... the celsius values of the GPU are 44/52/61 degrees Celsius when at rest, after startup of AOE III and after running the program for an hour or so. I thought it might be a bit too high based on the 7800 GT system I have that runs the GPU at 46 degrees celsius even after a good workout on the same program. Thanks for the confidance on the temps for the 6800 GS.
