video card temperature

i have a leadtek a310td fx5600 it is not overclocked and when i start up the computure the temp. reading is 50%C then in the space of ten minutes it is up around 60%C the chip edge temp stays at 24%C ,this is in 2d mode.

That's very interesting. Seriously: duh! Video cards get very hot when they run. They're rated to get to very high temperatures, so you shouldn't worry about it. And new video cards get hot now in either 2D or 3D mode since the run at such high frequencies...

40c-60c is normal. Even on CPU's , but since it is easier to keep the CPU cooler now. CPU temps tend to be around 35-55c on avg.
