Looking to continue to extend the life of my little brother's gaming machine. It was my old P3 733mhz BH6 system.

I was looking through newegg to see what's still compatible and if I can upgrade his Radeon DDR (16 or 32MB) vid card. I'd like to stay with ATI's chipset, if possible What vid card can I get to make the most out of this board? I was looking at newegg's refurb section and there's a lot.

I remember reading somewhere that the BH6 was limited to a certain voltage agp card, but I couldn't remember exactly. According to the old anandtech review, it looks like the agp slot is a 2x http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=205 .

thanks in advance!

if you sticking with ati anything more than a 8500 will be overkill. I'd look at a 4200 though in your situation much better card

Interesting suggestions. I couldn't find those models in newegg, but I found some sites using pricewatch. I'll take a look see at them more closely.
Yeah, I definitely want to pick a model that won't be an overkill, because I won't be able to make full use of the card due to the hardware being old.

Any other suggestions?

A geforce 3/4 would your best bet, im using a gf4 4600 on my bh6 + 1.57ghz celly2. Its come a long way since the 300a celeron days :)

Oh ya and the bh6 only supports 3.3v agp cards. I doubt the newer ati 9700/fx 5900 cards will work on 3.3volts.
