Video Card Ruined?

I don't know what happened to my video card but now these colored straight lines are being displayed horizontally on my computer monitor and it looks like crap. The top part of the screen is okay but the bottom 2/3rd's are horrible. Has anyone experienced this before?
 
How old is your video card b/c it might be time to get a new one. You might also want to verify that it is in fact your video card by either switching out video cards (to test your monitor) or switch monitors (to test video card).
 
I will try swtiching the monitor and then the video card. I'm just lazy and came on here before I had to do anything that took a lot of work. IO may have bumped my video card while the power was on, would that affect it?
