On vacation so gotta make this quick :)

I just recently recieved a new computer from my Dad, not sure of the specs other than its a 1.9 ghz and 1 gig ram. Fell behind on decent video cards in the market right now.

Recomendations for a decent card that will play all the new games out without a problem. Not looking to spend a arm and leg right now either.

Thanks in advance, and happy thanksgiving!

Here's a nice one. Text although you might want to wait until ATI puts out their X1950Pro in AGP... supposed to be around $200 retail.

X1950PRO the fastest AGP card ... spanks 7800gs ass and also it cost less than $300... $250ish.

well search arround ;( In Australia they are selling at $320AUD ($260USD) which is damn cheap since anything Computer hardware related sold in Australia always has an 30% markup US retail price.

Also the POWERCOLOR X1950 PRO Extreme 256MB AGP pro has the same exact spec as the pci-e version.

7900GT don't come in AGP , but 7800GS do and they are slower than 7800GT. Which means that 7800gs is about 30% + slower than 7900GT. So i suggest wait few days and buy a X1950PRO when newegg will list them.
