I recently bought a new MSI 6600 AGP for my computer. I uninstalled the old on-board geforce 4, but while doing so, lost the ability to use the memory allocated to it. How do I regain that memory and use it for system ram?

You should be able to disable the onborad video in BIOS at startup and set the shared memory to 0mb.

the onboard card is already disabled. Before installing my new card it showed my total mem at around 450 mb. after I installed the new 256 meg card and disabled the old card it showed my total mem to be 512 mb. That means there was around 194 megs of ram allocated to the onboard memory card that was disabled with the card. I would really like to allocate that 194 megs of mem to my system. Is there any way possible to do this?

Your new system total memory of 512MB is correct. It will not include the 256MB from your AGP card to the total count.

On board Geforce 4? We all wish!

Your memory total is correct.

The new video card does not share memory with your motherboard like the onboard video did.
