I have a server run on my small home network running linux and it has no monitor connected to it.
Can I remove the video card from it, and will it still run?? It is an old socket 7 style motherboard.:Q

just remove it and turn it on. If you hear hard-disk cycling, then it is working just fine

I think that you will get one long and three short beeps. This is the standard beep code for a bad or nonexistant video card. And no, the machine will most
likely not post or boot up without a vid card. Why dont you just get a cheapie vid card. A Riva TNT or Vanta or something like that. You can probably find one at newegg.com for 15 bucks.
