Hello,
I have a Powercolor X1650 Pro AGP and I was placing the DVI to VGA adapter, because I want to output video to my Vizio LCD. I noticed that the monitor lights were blinking and video was off, and when I restarted the PC a single beep sounded from the computer speaker. I opened the computer and reseated the video card, but noticed behind the GPU that the paste surrounding it was burned, I think, I smelled it but it was fine, I cleaned the part a bit and has been running ok since then. I noticed also a plaque with the ATI information on the part I think is burned, I have posted pictures and tell me what you think or if you think the card is fine.
Any help appreciated.
