Hello,

I have an ATI X850XT AGP video card and a 17" LCD monitor with refresh rates until 75 hz, the problem is that everytime I start windows it sets to 70 hz and I have to set the refresh rate to 75 hz manually, what could be the problem?

Any help appreciated.

 
Sounds like the card is reading the refreshrate info from the screen wrong and default to 70 hz.

Don't know if it is fixable but it wouldn't hurt to ask ATI or the screen manufacturer, maybe there's a driver for the screen that will fix it.
Might also be that there's a windows update that will fix it.
