Hey all,
So - a friend of mine has an HP desktop with a 250W PSU. He's got an 8800gts, and surprisingly it works fine for most things.
Some newer shader-intensive games like Mass Effect crash, however. It's clearly a PSU issue!
Now, he wants to either upgrade his PSU (hassle, physical compatibility issues because it's a small case), or add a video card PSU. I remember reading about these awhile back. Are they still around? If so, are they worth your time?
