Video card problems...

I just fdisked and I'm trying to play Tribes 1. The graphics are lookin' about the same, but the game is all jumpy/framey. I was wondering if anyone could help me fix this. I already installed the latest drivers for my video card and I installed DirectX 8.0. The video card is a S3 ViRGE-DX/GX PCI (375/385) and my OS is WindowsME. Anything that might help would be greatly appreciated.

is DMA enabled for both your cd & hdd?? :frown:

Ummmm, was it jumpy and framey before???? Cause it sounds like your S3VIRGE would definitely cause this frame stuttering.

Actually it wasn't. I know my card really needs updated...but for right now I'm tryin' to make the best of it.
