ok, the last couple of time i went to play a game on my PC, i keep getting crashes and lockups. it has done this in almost every game. FEAR was the latest one. did it in under 5 mins every time. all i get in the screen freezes and i get a lot of red or blue ^ marks all over my screen. i have an asus 8800GT with an accelero s1 w/ turbo fan module installed on it.

what is the problem? card dying on me already?

New card so I would rule out heat maybe..but check anyway to make sure heat isnt an issue. Next, what is your power supply?

well, i ran a temp log using riva tuner one time wile playing the crysis demo, and it never got above 51C, so surely heat isn't a problem. power supply is in my sig, corsair 550vx

This could be the problem. Maybe you forced your card running at higher clocks that it could handle and now it is broken. What is your full load temp? And what was your ram speed when overclocked?

Uninstall the Nvidia drivers, then reboot and installed them again.

well, it has never done it during 3dmark, and i ran prime95 for a little while before, and it has never done it. and it doesn't do it in every game all the time. it did it to me like 2 times in BF2, and then i played it for hours for no problem. and sometimes crysis will work fine for the entire time. so far FEAR only lasts 5 minutes tops.

It sounds like the card is faulty. Just to be sure that your power supply isn't the one with the problems, you should test the video card into another system. If it acts the same it's time for RMA.

well, i don't have another system or card, so i guess i'm just screwed. i can't rma it cause i've installed the accelero and its heatsinks. this blows...guess maybe when the new line comes out and i can find a good card for cheap, i'll just grab another one.

You can just put your stock heatsink back on and send it like that. Nobody will ever know that you've installed an Accelero on it. But be very careful when you remove the ram heatsinks so you won't damage the ram itself.
