Video Card Problems - GeForce 6800

I was having trouble watching downloaded movies, so I thought it was my codecs. I downloaded about 4 different codec packs until I realized that it was my video card driver. I uninstalled the driver, and I can watch movies fine, but now I don't know which driver to use. When I reinstall the main nVidia 91.31 drivers, the same thing happens; i can get sound but no video. Can anyone help me with this?

try disabling video overlay
