Hi there.

My video card has been great until today. I turned on my monitor and I saw horizontal "streaking" on the screen. I double checked the cables and still the same problem.

I removed the video card and put it into my dad's computer...same problem!

When I say streaking...there are these lines that run across the screen. You know when you photocopy something and sometimes you see these faint black or grey lines on the page? That is what I am experiencing.

Please write back with solutions!
Thanks
Derek

Make sure you have the latest drivers installed (if your card does not have tv-in or 3d glasses you can use the drivers from nVIDIA without any problems)

try unplugging your monitor for a minute then plugging in back in...this will reset the monitor to its original settings, you may have accidently changed one of the monitor settings and messed it up (depends on the monitor)

If that doesnt work get a new card, u can get a geforce 4 mx440 for dirt cheap. you can get a geforce 2 ti or geforce 3 ti200 for pretty cheap too. You may wanna check out the ATI radion 7500 or 8500LE, my personal recommendation is any geforce 4. I have a gf4 ti4400 and it kicks ass

By the way if gaming doesnt matter to you get the cheapest geforce card you can find...i say that only because ATI has too many driver issues with cheaper cards.
