video card price drops?

with the 7800 out now.. when do you think we will see a major price drop? and when it does i will be looking for a good upgrade from a 9800 pro any suggestions?
 
I think until ATI has something to compete, nVidia will and vendors will continue to gauge buyers on the 7800GTX and leave the other cards competitively priced.
 
Withe 7800gtx in Extreme Performance

The 6800 Gt Ultra is still High Performance

6800 GT Mid Performance

6600 Low Performance (although better then 9800 pro! last gens top)

In terms of pricing. Although their was a small shift in pricing...a major one is only going to come when their is something that can challenge the 7800gtx.

Why would they drop? The 7800GTX sells at a completely different price point from the othe cards offered by nVidia.
