Video card placement on MSI K9N Plat SLI

OK, so I just got the board and and a new PNY 7600GT. I'm not going to be running SLI, at least for a long time. As many people have mentioned/complained, one of the stupidest ideas on MSI's part was not to put active cooling or a heatpipe on the Northbridge. It gets to 100F if I leave machine on for just 10 seconds, can't even imagine how hot it gets when the rig is stressed.

Anyway, the Northbridge heatsink is almost right next to the cooler on the video card which is in the top most PCI-e slot. Is it OK to move the card down to the second slot so at least the heat from the Northbridge won't get spun around in the video card?

I'm using a P180 case and will probably put a 120 in the upper bay to help cool the northbridge before it breaks out into flames 😛
