Video Card Performance on BF2

Is it possible for 2 BFG 6600GT's to attain 99.9 FPS in Battlefield 2 with all settings on medium at 1280X960 Res.?

Thanks

I'm not an SLI expert, but I'd say your should be able to do "high" settings & even a higher resolution with 2 6600GTs. As far as 99.9 FPS... the frames will fluctuate during game play. I don't think any vid card (SLI or not) will run BF2 at 99.9 all the time. I'd shoot for keeping your average frames above 60fps. Change your detail settings & resolution to accomplish this.

its not how powerful the system the game is just not efficient. I have been playing doom3 and i upgraded my graphics the game improved, with BF2, its just still kinda shtty for the most part. Its not about avg FPS, but just overall performance is just not very good, and i dont think its nearly as good looking as doom/farcry/hl2 bunch, or F.e.a.r. its a fun game, but its a pain to think you have to just muscle through it for performance aka, just buy a beafy system that can handle the stalling and crap lag, and be able to recover. it seems almost as if its the best systems are the ones that can bounce back the best.

I think the game is coded much better than FEAR. I have BF2 maxed out @ 1600x1200 and I get a little stutter when the map first starts but plays smooth after about a minute. I think another gig of ram would solve this. On FEAR, I get stuttering here and there throughout the demo even when I turn down the resolution.

6600GT SLI can be a very powerful video card set up; especially if you go light on the AA. (i.e. use higher resolution instead of 4X AA, or 2XAA if you must)

I just start learning that game yesterday (read: online I'm toast) but I'm playing at 19X14 2X8X now. A very nice looking game, as noted in this forum adding bumping my RAM to 1.5GB seemed to help much.

I'll bench it soem and see what runs best, or if they all run the same due to cpu limitation.
