video card, no good?

just testing out old GF2MX 64mb card
after installing driver, desktop looks good up to 1024 x
anything higher than, it looks weird.
can't quite put my finger on what it is but it just doesn't look right.
it's slightly dimmer and blur
it's definitely uncomfortable to look at it.

is this because the card is no good?
I have two other video cards, they work fine
 
I've got a geforce 2mx in my moms dell, and I can't say the image quality is good, but it isn't bad really. What driver are you using?
