I thought it was bad to have more then one virus/malware removal software
I'm not talking about running all of them all the time, that would be system resource heavy.
Leave your MSE as it is.
* (single run per cleanup) Run rkill to stop malware that might be running.
* (install, update & scan) Malwarebytes free version. Free version won't run 100% in background, only when directed to scan.
* (update & scan) Superantispyware portable version.

None of those three will continue to run in the background after the cleanup.
 
Follow the posts and you'll find I was making a suggestion about a cleanup, not an ongoing arsenal of utilities.

Ah, sorry about that. I think I missed two posts as I was scrolling down.

A one-time install and full scan with Malwarebytes isn't going to hurt that much. I would suggest unticking the 'trial version' option though when installing.
