Video Card installation issue.

So i wanted to play some Battlefield 4 so i got new video card Radeon HD 7870 2gb DD Ghz edition , i knew my stock PSU not going to cut it so i got new one Corsair CX750M.

To start with im not very experienced with this stuff , in fact its my first time doing it , any modification to a PC , but Im very tech savvy .

First i swapped PSU and confirmed that everything works , then put in a video card , plugged in 8 & 6 pin connectors to it , started PC up i it just makes beeping noise and doesn't boot up , if I unplug 8 & 6 pin connectors from GPU computer boots up , like i said both fans are spinning regardless of power cables being connected to it.

I do not have drivers installed since there are no compatible drivers on the CD for windows 8 , only 7 and vista so i got to find new ones , but i don't think that would cause computer not to boot up , so it doesn't concern me much for now.

I figured some of you might know something and save me a call to XFX tech support Thank you .

Processor : AMD A10-5700
RAM : 12 GB
Integrated GPU : HD7660D
NEW GPU : XFX 7870 2GB DD Ghz Edition
Hard Drive 2 TB
System : Windows 8
PSU : Corsair CX 750M

It appears that your HP motherboard has some compatibility issues with a lot of higher end video cards.

Can I suggest you reset your motherboard BIOS before you do anything? Pull the battery out or short the pins for 30 seconds.
I had issues when changing my video card and PSU at the same time which were only resolved by doing this.

UPDATE: left my computer plugged in with a power cord , shut it down , reset BIOS with jumper , took out CMOS battery for 20 min , re sitted GPU with 8 and 6 pins hooked up to it , started PC and still got startup error beeps , waited 20 min , computer rebooted on its own and I was good ever since.
