I just bought an x800XL to install on my pc that had X200 graphics on it. I uninstalled the drivers, disabled the x200 graphics card, turned off the computer. Then I installed the new card and turned on the computer. The weird thing that happens is that the screen looks fine when booting up. I can see the BIOS message and the Windows "Starting Up" message, but then when (i assume) it is booting to Windows, the screen just goes black. I tried all types of Safe Mode and got the same thing. Can you please help me get this card up and running? I'm really itching to play Half Life 2. Thanks.

Does the X800 require additional power? Instead of disabling the X200 card you may want to uninstall it and then shut down. It really shouldn;t matter Windows should be okay with a card swap. How's your powe supply?

No, I checked again and the card doesn't require any more power. The power supply is 350 watts and I was told that it would be more than adequate for this card. Is this not the case? Also, I'd think that the card wouldn't work at all if the power supply wasn't enough, but it's weird that it only disappears when Windows starts.
