Video card hickups?

A while back I put a different video card in a different computer to see if the problems I was having was hardware related. Ever since then the computer I pluged it into has been hickuping when playing 3d games. How can I erase all files that had anything to do with that card. I have erased all the obvious files and drivers but I don't know how to get at the residual files. After that I was just going to download a new driver for the current card and see what that does unless there are any better ideas. Thanks for the help.
