I debating which video card to purchase. The cards main purpose will be 3D architectural rendering. My system will consist of a 1.4Ghzz AMD processor with 512MB of Ram. I am looking to spend about $250 dollars on a video card, but I will spend more it there is a noticeable difference.
At $250 dollars, I suppose I am looking at a Geforce 2 Ultra, but that card seems to be designed for gamers. Is the Geforce 2 Pro 64MB a comparable card for 3D rendering? Or should I spend the extra money and get a Geforce 3?
