Ok, folks.

I was running my x1900xt slightly overclocked (XTX) speeds at 650/750. Ran perfect in everything.

Yesterday, I tried overclocking it to 675/775. I ran 3dmark06 then went to the gym. When I got back, 3dmark had frozen during one of the graphics tests. No biggie, I thought. I just turned down the settings to back where they were at 650/750.

Now I get chopiness when playing games. Its just like server lag, except it happens on all servers even when my ping is below 40. Also, I noticed when playing Team Fortress 2, some of the weapon models do not display at all. For example, I noticed a sniper was shooting, but no gun was display.

I even moved my settings back down to default and I still get the same problem.

Whats the deal?

I have a Zalman vf900 installed as well

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but it sounds like you killed your card.

Was 3dmark on a loop? If so, that was a mistake. Your supposed to monitor the progress because artifacts won't stop the program, but does hurt your card.

Have you played single player games away from the internet?

How about a run of 3dmark? Same score as before?

3dmark was not in loop mode.

I have played Portal, which is a single player game not connected to the internet. I get the same problem.

I have yet to run 3dmark a second time at my previous settings, but I can try that later tonite.

doesn't necesarily mean ur card is dead.

try to uninstall the game, uninstall the drivers, reinstall drivers, reinstall the game. if that doesn't fix it, as a last resort without spending money try a reformat, then try that again..
