video card from dell broke, any chance of warranty to video card manufacturer?

we've had a video card (nvidia 8300gs PCI-Express to be specific) die from our dell desktop. the dell desktop is out of warranty, is there a way i can get a warranty replacement from the video card manufacturer?

Don't think so... If the desktop is out of warranty then so is the graphics card. Plus I think the warranty for the card is for the OEM (IE Dell).

yeh you might not bother since a 8300gs is what maybe $10 worth?

might want to step up to a 8600 GTS for maybe $20 A/R if you keep your eyes peeled.

No, as the warranty for the card is through the computer if you bought the card pre-installed.

Anyway, why bother? It's an 8300GS PCI-Ex16 card? Low-end cards are dirt cheap to replace.
