video card for WoW

im gonna build a rig mainly for playing World of Warcraft and other Blizzard games like Warcraft 3 and Starcraft. i know for WoW good performance is mainly the ram soo im gonna install 2x512 Corsair Value Select ram and a AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice Socket 939. i was gonna go for the GeForce 6600 GT card but im really low on cash so i was thinking something below $150 or even $100. i was thinking the GeForce FX 5500. is there something better? and will this run WoW pretty good? any suggests will help please!

Looks to be mainly cpu/system limited. The 9800 pro may be a good choice at around $85 in the FS/T forums.

6600gt is a great card. Plus you can bump that Venice up to 2.3 without even trying.

yeah so i hear but i need a cheaper PCI-Ex16 card. i found a 6600GT for $170

Oh right, PCI-E. Scratch the 9800 pro then, the X800 is what you want. $129 AR, probably equivalent to a 6800 NU if not a little faster.
