I have an older Dell Dimension 2400 desktop. About five years old but still running just fine for what it is used for. Recently had to replace the original 15" flat panel with a 17" widescreen flat panel. It's a Norwood Micro brand, if that matters. Native resolution is 1024 X 768 @ 60 Hz.
Running XP SP2, 1GB RAM.
Looking for an inexpensive video card, (PCI), for this setup. No gaming, no high performance use. Just a basic work station, surfing the 'net, some MS Word docs, etc.
Thank you.

ummm... go search newegg for AGP and pick the cheapest one... if u do no gaming then virtually any card is fine... i could send u a gforce2mx if u pay the postage...

and the native res on a 17'' ws lcd is going to be 1440x900, most likely...

Thanks for the reply. I've already checked out Newegg. Just looking for some alternate opinions.
And according to the manual for that monitor, the native resolution is as I wrote above: 1024 X 768 @ 60 Hz.
Thanks.
