Video card for HL2 on an Asus P4B266?

I just want to play HL2 decently, not with all the bells going.I hear an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro 128 MB would be good enuff but I see its an AGP *X. My MB says its only 4X. Am I stuck now with it or to do what I want, I have to upgrade my MB?

you can use any 8x card on a 4x agp slot..there won't be much of a performance difference.
