Video Card for HL2/CS Source

I was wondering, money not being an issue which video card is the BEST for HL2 and Counter Strike Source. Thanks for any answers.

ATi: X800XT PE
Nvidia: Geforce6800 Ultra

Overall, probally the ATi card.

X800XT seems to do really well with the HL2 engine. (prolly why they bundled HL2 with it)

Good luck finding a X800XTPE for $500, most stores that even have them in stock are almost $600

sure, any card plays regular cs.. thats cs source on hl2 engine

get the X800 XT PE or 6800 Ultra if money is not a problem

but I would get the 9800XT

Gainward Golden Sample geForce 6800gt. Being a Golden Sample, Gaindward pretests the crads at OC'd speeds, and garauntees them to run there. With the 6800gt the OC'd speeds are almost as fast as an Ultra. Plus you dont have to fnick around with OC utility's as the Gainward drivers have the OC seting built right in.

I just got this one. Overclocks to Ultra levels no problem and was the cheapest I could find.

For half-life 2, x800XTPE is the way to go. However, if you also want to play doom3, GF6800Ultra becomes a good contender. I'd personally take a good look at the 6800GT.

DO NOT GET eVga, i have read many many problems about them in the Video Forums.
