I have a machine with a 2600k and 1060 6GB that plays this game perfectly at 1080. Don’t recall what my average FPS seems but it’s well above 60 at max settings.

Sooo, I'm seeing 580 4G cards pretty much everywhere for 200.00. 189.00 for a powercolor after 20.00 rebate at NE. Are we likely to see the 8GB cards for 200.00 except on a special masterpass deal like the other day? I'm headed to Microcenter today to get my Ryzen 7 1700, Gigabyte AB350 gaming 3, maybe memory if they have a good deal that is compatible with the MB. My current old PII X6 has water cooling but I think I will just get a air cooler for the new system like a coolermaster Hyper 212. Any suggestions?

The Red Devil Cards are good from what I hear.
Then you just pair it with a cheap freesync high refresh rate monitor down the line for an enjoyable budget FPS setup.

No good deals on RX 580's in over a week. Is this likely to change as we get closer to Christmas? I have all the other parts for the system sitting here and I'm losing patience but I don't really want to buy a card just see a better card next week...

You should be able to catch one on sale at Newegg. If not in the email deals, surely in one of their daily deals, Shell Shocker, and mobile and Visa/Mastercard checkout discount codes.

Just set an alert with something like Slickdeals.net

Read the thread, post it here if you need us to vet it, and purchase.

That way you can not only get newegg, but others as well. You want to sign up with NEwegg as Usandthem suggests for their special deals

I do get NE deals and promo code stuff. Seems like prices actually went up last week. I ordered the Dell 27in freesync monitor that NE had for 120.00 with the promo code today. Seems like a good deal. Now just waiting for a good 580 (or 570) deal to pop up.

using a "RX 580" deal alert i was able to score that MSI gaming 580 8GB for $205 posted earlier. I love slick deals!

NE has a 1060 3GB card for 169.00 AR. Seems like a good deal but does the 3GB memory cripple the card?

It's more what they do to the actual GPU that lowers the performance more than having less memory.

For all intents and purposes, the 3GB card is roughly 10% slower in benchmarks than the 6GB version. Gaming at 1080p shouldn't be an issue anytime soon if you do decide to get the 3GB version.

Still haven't bought a new vid card since prices seem to go up every day on the 1060 and 5xx series. My old 6850 is in there now and fine for playing the older COD games but I'd like to get something that will play COD WWII without spending 400.00. Will the 560 cards play it at 1080 or do I really need a 1060/580? Even the 570's are stupidly priced now... Recommendations- maybe an older used card?

A gtx960 4gb overclocked will play around 50/60 fps at high settings.
I'm sure you can play at respectable settings with a gtx1050 also. A rx 560 should be ok for med settings.
