Not really. There are AGP's of most of the GF 6xxx's. I have a 6200, and it's AGP, but it's not a heavy duty gaming card. There is a seller on eBay, Retek, who seems to have a ton of ATI-built 9250's, 9600's, and 9800's. Depending on how many bidders are interested, he sells a lot of the 9600 Pro's for $70-80, including $12 worth of shipping fees. A few 9600 XT's also drew comparatively low bids, under $100 with that shipping included. I didn't share this until I had at least one for myself to hold onto as a backup to my 9700 Pro and 6600 GT.
(snip.) I'd suggest upgrading to soemthing higher up than either of those though. If you can't afford it now, save up for one and get a 6600GT or 9800pro or something at least. If you get a 9550 now, in a year or so it'll be so bogged down you'll end up spending more money upgrading again.
Right now, the VGA card market is in a bit of change-over mood. The GF 7800's are putting a downward pricing influence on the GF 6800's, and that's probably going to cause more push on 6600 pricing. When the next batch of ATI cards finally appear, the X series will undergo price drops. The new X800 card is already causing the X700 to become an invisible item. I wouldn't invest a lot in an ATI until their latest are all well and truly in place (which will spread out across 8-10 weeks of time starting in a month or so).
But a 9600 Pro is always a good compromise recommendation. Although Newgg does have a couple of $150-ish 6600GT's on sale right now.
