I agree, if you can get a GeF4 Ti4200 for $100-120, go for that instead! It's just that around here (Canada), even the 64MB Ti4200 still cost around $135US or so, whereas you can get a 128MB Sapphire Radeon 9100 for $85US. But that may have something to do with our proximity to ATI

Memory speeds are indeed an important issue for the 8500/9100 series. The retail ATIs are typically 230/230, and the Sapphire's are 250/230 (or 250/200 for the 128MB version). That's as low as I would want to go.
