Hey guys, so today while playing in my pc, an error saying that the "Display graphics drivers stopped responding but has recovered". When this happened, the screen would go black for a second and then the game would experience a massive fps drop, being unplayable. I decided to open my pc case and noticed that all the three fans on my graphics card weren't spinning.
My graphics card is the Gigabyte Radeon HD 6870.
If anyone could help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

EDIT: Just checked in Catalyst Control Centre, and it shows that my fan speeds are running normally.

Hello..
There's a lot to consider, but the most basic things to do is to unplug your graphic card out of your mobo, make sure that there's no dust blocking your fans from spinning, and the card is carefully connected as it might be lacking the power.
Have you tried to 'manually' adjust your fans speed and see if they're spinning at all?

Hello,
I think it's unlikely that dust is causing this, since all three fans stopped working at the same time. I have tried to manually adjust the fan speed in catalyst control centre but it shows that the fans are running at a normal speed and when I change the speed, the fans don't move an inch.

I assumed that they have stopped working over-time as no where you mentioned this, so I thought you should consider the dust.

As I mentioned earlier, the card might be lacking the power, the fans connector might be the issue, and it's a good idea to post your specs as it's easier to consider it to the rest solutions..

I will check the power connections. My specs are:
i5 2500k
500GB Hard drive
Gigabyte Radeon HD 6870
Corsair 650W power supply

EDIT: I've checked all the connections and they are all good..

Anymore suggestions?

I would suggest that you re-install the drivers, this might not be the best suggestion but you don't want to end up trying everything in your hardware to find out it was a software issue..
If you want to try more suggestions before considering giving up & RMA the card or replacing the fans, some people suggested that oiling the bearings [ http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2196869 ] might fix the spinning, which I highly doubt since you have 3 fans and they have all stopped working.
I highly doubt all the fans just ' died ' at once and not just one fan, if this isn't a software issue then I still consider the issue is with powering the fans.

There's a wire that connects from the fan shroud to the PCB of the graphics card which supplies power to the fan components. It is either loose or there is something dust-related causing issues inside the shroud. Either way - you need to remove the shroud and check this if you haven't. Be sure to have TIM on hand because you'll need to re-apply it when re-attaching the fan shroud. Be careful with the shroud screws as well, be super gentle because they're very easy to strip.

Thanks everyone for the replies. So now the fans work but no image shows on my display. It does not show "no signal" which means it is recognizing the PC, however, I get no image on the display
