Video Card Failure

When I boot up my computer the POST gives me a message through the speaker one long beep then two short beeps. I looked this message up in a book and it said that this meant there was a problem with the video. So I went out and bought a new card Hercules Kyro 2 64 MB. And after i put it in I got the same message. The monitor is plugged in and I can see the no signal sign so that isn't the problem. Any ideas of perhaps what may be preventing my computer to boot and not seeing any video?

P3 450
256 Megs of ram
Hercules Kyro 2 64 MB video card
Sony CDRW
Toshiba 13.6 gig hard drive

Thanks

Try unplugging all cables from the motherboard except for the power cable. Try to boot. If it doesn't boot, take out all PCI and ISA cards except for the video card. Try to boot again. If it still doesn't boot then the motherboard could be shorting out against the case. Try taking the MB out and putting it back in.

You could also try to boot with a PCI video card and see if that
works.........Greg
