Video Card exchange.

My wife's computer is a Micron MAX GS133 with 128MB 133MHz SDRAM-2DIMMS. I has a nVidea 32MB TNT Pro AGP graphics card. I happen to have a new ASUS AGP-V7700 32MB graphics card that I don't need. Would there be any upgrade benifit to swap the AGP-V7700 card and the nVidea card?

The v7700 is a TNT2, right? You might notice a little difference, but only in games. Also, if one board has DDR memory, I'd use that one.

I think the V7700 is a GeForce 2 GTS card, in which case you would notice a difference in 3D applications if you replaced that TNT Pro card with it.

The V7700 is a Geforce2 GTS card....so I'd swap it out since you have it. No point in letting a geforce2 card go to waste.

The Asus V7100 is a GeForce2 MX and the Asus v7700 is a GeForce2 GTS. The GeForce2 GTS'll blow the socks off that old TNT2 PRO. Throw it in there...QUICKLY!!!

Keep the TNT Pro. Send me the V7700 quickly! 😉

Aside from that, the Asus V7700 (GF2 GTS) is two (2) generations faster than the TNT. There will be a definite speed increase if your wife plays any games 🙂.
