What are the warning signs your video card is about to kick the bucket? I'm wondering because I keep getting BSODs after playing games for a couple hours. The error messages seem to indicate a driver problem, but I'm using the latest 8-12 drivers (I have a 9600xt; no laughing, please.) Could this be an overheating issue or do I need to plan for the imminent death of my graphics card?

I installed the latest drivers because the windows error reporting thing said it was a driver issue. That didn't solve the problem so now I'm wondering what my next step should be.

If you have an nvidia card and vista 64 like me it might be the new drivers. I have had repeated problems with them to the point where I have reformatted 2 different computers and gone back to pre-physx drivers

Inspect the fan/heatsink... make sure it's not clogged with dust, and that the fan is spinning properly. If the GPU malfunctions due to overheat it could produce a BSOD the way you described.
