Video Card Drivers - Quick Help

Ok, this guy is trying to tell me that downloading "generic nvidia" drivers for a specic make of a card (msi, evga.. etc) is worse than using the manufacturer's drivers, that you can lose some of the specific features of the card if you use other drivers.

I mean, sure, if you flash the BIOS you'll lose features, but downloading drivers from the manufacture's site as opposed to nvidia's site is pointless, right?

for nvidia, yes.

it doesn't really make a difference though, most manufacturers point to nvidia drivers for updates anyway.

I guess updating drivers is useless, it doesn't make any difference in some cases it will reduce the performance of your card.

I still have some 43.x nVidia drivers, if you want I'll send them to you and you can run on those.

No thanx mine are version 6.14 I did not update it since 2003 it still works fine on newer titles.
