system 1 has a BFG 6800GT card in it.

system 2 has a EVG limited edtion 6800 card in it.

Both running Force 66.81(I think) drivers. Can I swap the video card without having to redo the drivers?

If I have to redo the drivers what is the best way to remove/delete old drivers and install new ones.

Thankyou,

PS. as to why I would want to, EQ2 is have a crashing problem related to video(best guess from symptions and reading the offical forums) It keeps crashing on the 6800GT, I have talked to a number of people who run an Ultra and dont have this issue. the limited edtion is basically an underclocked Ultra and I do not have this problem. I just wanted for testing purposes swap the cards and see if the problems goes away on system1 or if system now gets the problem.

I would think that with any swap you should redo the drivers. A while ago I did a same core vid swap (8500 LE for a 8500 retail) and did not change drivers. Everything seemed to work fine but there were some gaming issues (lower frame rates, crashes) so I just reinstalled the same drivers I had all-ready running, it fixed the problems.

I would take the few seconds you need to reinstall the same drivers you are currently running with the new card in. That way you can be sure the drivers installed what is appropriate for your core.

EDIT** In this situation I would only uninstall the old drivers and reinstall new ones if the card swapping does not work. Otherwise just install over the top.
