my friend recently reformatted his notebook. we can't find the recovery disk or whatever it comes with. i've tried the compaq website and tech support, but they simply list Trident as the video card. does anyone know the exact model number of the Trident card so i can install the video card driver?

thanx

the problem is after downloading the drivers, it gives me like 10 *.inf files to use... not sure which is the correct one.

I would allow this & update the driver from within device manager!

i pointed to the new, extracted driver files. the problem is that there are like 10 *.inf files. i've tried installing all the different *.inf files, and each one gives an error message upon rebooting.
