video card description

can anyone put into words how a video card works? more specifically how it prcesses the data not how it recieves it or how the output reaches the screen.

i would like to know that too, as well has how processors work, and what resisters do and what silicon has to do with anything and stuff like that

Two excellent resources for you guys... Do a search for the users pm and sohcan. They have both posted some real good explanations of such things.
