Video card decision...

As my video card choice draws near, I need a few last pieces of input from video card users out there. First of all, I have a Pentium III 933MHz on an i810 board (no AGP slots). I'm looking for a good PCI video card.

I've narrowed down my choices to three boards:
64MB 3dfx Voodoo5 5500 PCI
32MB ATI Radeon SDR
64MB Hercules Prophet (Kyro II)

1) I know that the Kyro II has no Linux drivers. Any input from developers as to if/when they will be out? I ask because the Kyro almost consistently outperformed the Voodoo5 and Radeon SDR in Anandtech's reviews and if drivers are coming soon, I'd be willing to wait for them.

2) I know that the Voodoo5 drivers for XFree86 4.x lack support for the second VSA-100 and SLI (they treat it as a Voodoo4; now that nVidia's taken over 3dfx, I hold out little hope that this will ever be implemented); can any Linux Radeon / Voodoo5 users report in framerates to approximate the impact of this shortcoming? (Anandtech's Linux Vid Card Roundup doesn't include a Radeon.) 8-(

Thx for the prompt reply.

what exactly will you be using the card for? What will you be doing that requires something better then a voodoo4?

I use a great game called BZFlag -- it gets fairly lame framerates on my i810 (30 fps @ 1024x768x16). I may get into better 3D games once I have the graphics to support them.

i would personally get a v5 pci for MAC and flash it to the PC version. MAC pci cards can be had for $80, and they are pretty easy to flash. if you don't want to mess with flashing, i would still get the V5 PCI, but this time the regular PC version.
